UWE COLOR RUN

All the information you need to prepare for our afternoon of colorful fun!

What is a color run?

UWE Color Run is an afternoon of fun, non-competitive, short distance running or walking through stations of colorful powder gently tossed.

How does it work?

● Each grade level will head out to the track one at a time. Students will run or walk the marked out track for 5 minutes, during which they will pass 6 color stations. At each station volunteers will gently toss the food grade colored powder toward the students.

​● After the 5 minute run, the entire grade level will get a color packet, group together and toss their powder in the air for even more colorful fun!

​● Students will then proceed to the leaf blowing area to be gently dusted off and to the hand washing station to clean up before heading back to class.

Event Day Details

  • The event will start at 2pm and run to 3:30 approximately.

  • Students should wear clothes that can get color powder on them, and wash easily.

  • Sneakers are highly recommended as we will be on the grass the whole event.

  • Students may bring a bandana or mask to wear during the event if desired.

  • Volunteers are still needed, please sign-up here if you are able to help. Sign-up Genius

  • Volunteers must complete video and form as required by the school district and check in at the school office.

  • If you plan to take your student home after volunteering, make sure to notify the school office of the transportation change.

Why is PTA hosting this event?

  • In addition to providing an opportunity for all students to have some fun during the school day, the Color Run is PTA's main fundraiser for the year! The PTA's goal is to raise $12,000 to help support all of the events that PTA has planned for the 24-25 school year.

  • The UWE PTA is a separate entity from the school and does not receive funds from the school or through local taxes, so fundraising is crucial in order to support the students and staff. The money raised from this event will go towards gym parties during Halloween and Valentine's Day, Trunk or Treat, student and staff appreciation days, Classroom Assistance fund, and so much more!

  • The PTA’s purpose is to support ALL Underwood students, families, staff and community. We need your support to make this school year the best it can be!
